ABOUT THIS GAME

Geometry Dash

Geometry Dash is an adrenaline-fueled rhythm platformer where every jump must match the beat. One mistake sends you back to 0%, making every successful run feel like an incredible achievement as you master fast-paced obstacle courses.

How to Play

Your icon automatically moves forward without stopping, leaving you to focus entirely on timing. Use a single control—Spacebar, the Up Arrow, or a mouse click—to jump, fly, or activate special mechanics. There is no health bar or second chance. Touching a spike, wall, or hazard instantly restarts the level from the beginning in Normal Mode, so learning each obstacle pattern is essential.

As levels progress, portals transform your icon into different forms with unique controls. The Cube performs standard jumps, the Ship flies by holding and releasing the button, the Ball flips gravity, the UFO hops through the air with every tap, and the Wave moves diagonally depending on whether you hold or release the button. Other transformations, including the Robot and Spider, introduce even more movement styles. Portals can also change your speed, reverse gravity, or teleport you, while jump orbs allow perfectly timed extra jumps in mid-air.

Every obstacle is carefully synchronized with the soundtrack, encouraging you to use the music as much as your eyes to predict the correct timing. Practice Mode lets you place checkpoints anywhere to master difficult sections before attempting a full 0% to 100% completion in Normal Mode. Hidden throughout every official level are three secret coins that reward players willing to explore alternate routes and perform precise actions.

Features

  • Fast-paced rhythm platforming where every obstacle is synchronized to energetic music.
  • Simple one-button controls with deep, skill-based gameplay.
  • Multiple icon forms including Cube, Ship, Ball, UFO, Wave, Robot, and Spider.
  • Practice Mode with checkpoints for learning difficult sections without restarting.
  • Official levels ranging from Easy to Demon difficulty, each hiding three secret coins.
  • Dynamic portals that change speed, gravity, teleportation, and gameplay mechanics mid-level.

Tips

Listen to the music as closely as you watch the screen. The rhythm often tells you exactly when to jump, especially during fast sections.

Use Practice Mode to memorize challenging sequences before attempting a complete Normal Mode run without checkpoints.

FAQ

What is the difference between Practice Mode and Normal Mode?

Practice Mode allows you to place checkpoints so you can repeatedly practice difficult parts of a level. To officially complete a level, you must finish it from 0% to 100% in Normal Mode without using checkpoints.

Why does the gameplay keep changing during a level?

Special portals transform your icon into different forms, alter your speed, flip gravity, or teleport you. Each transformation introduces new controls and keeps every level varied and challenging.
